This research project was undertaken for the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) by the Canadian Centre for Advanced Practice Nursing Research. This report summarizes the issues and policy options and will inform CNA’s future role and strategies for advancing a pan-Canadian primary care framework that optimizes the role of registered nurses (RNs) and advanced practice nurses in primary care interprofessional teams.
